Distractions, distractions..

Have played a little further with the cotton lace, but have not (yet) unearthed my big Aussie knitting book with tea cosy patterns in it to get me started (sorry Shazza).
Do you think I should stick with the little twocup pot, or try to make something for my Aladdin's Lamp number?
