Don't go! You haven't come to the wrong place!!

I am a purple girl, with forays into red, blue, and teal (other colours are acceptable as accents too).
so why the pink?????

October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so this blog is joining the Pink Parade for this month.
Breast cancer is a vicious disease, and is the leading cancer-related cause of death for women in Australia. 1 in 11 women in Australia will be diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 75. Breast cancer can affect men too, though it is not as common.
Breast cancer is not only indicated by a lump - any change in the shape, size, skin or nipple of a breast can be a warning - check your breasts regularly and see your GP if you have ANY worries.

If it's caught early and treated, breast cancer has a 90% 5-year survival rate. My sister-in-law is one of the lucky ones - she found a lump, had a lumpectomy, radiation and chemotherapy (it was a big lump - they threw everything at it) when she was 31 (with a 3yr old daughter), and now, 6 years later, has been cancer free since her treatments and has had two more beautiful healthy children.
