The Natural World...

I have been flower-watching - this fuschia has been expanding for weeks, and then today at last it popped!
And the breezes having been playing with the apple blossoms, throwing storms of petals around our front yard like perfumed confetti..

And this morning's excitement was the discovery of a sparrow in the fireplace: Picture me, clambering on and around the lounge-room furniture, flapping a cloth nappy, trying to catch and/or herd the bird so as to get it out the window, while S keeps a safe distance and J bounces around like a shrill flea, overcome with the excitement of it all! You will be glad to know that the intruder was eventually cornered behind a curtain and exited safely through a window.
